Shelter Ready was designed with experts who work in the homelessness services sector. It is currently used by outreach workers and shelters in San Diego County to find real-time emergency shelter space for clients who are unhoused. Emergency shelter staff can easily manage their spaces and provide information about their programs and eligibility so that folks making referrals can find a suitable space, quickly. And when there is no space available, a quick “no” allows outreach workers to offer other resources to their clients in that short window of time during which they are engaged with each other. Shelter staff can manage their spaces and benefit from technology that keeps their space counts updated for real-time reservations. www.ShelterReady.org
